Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and ProLangvo ("we") for using prolangvo.com and the ProLangvo browser extension. By creating an account you accept them.

The service

ProLangvo is a language-learning tool. You open or import content, look up words and review them. It's in beta: features may change or stop, and we don't guarantee that it will be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

Your account

You must be at least 16. Give a real email address, keep your sign-in private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account unless you could not have prevented it.

Acceptable use

Don't break the law or anyone's rights with ProLangvo. Don't try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service, use it to scrape or redistribute content, resell it, or get around usage limits.

Your content and copyright

• You keep your rights in what you add. You let us store and process it, including with the providers in our Privacy Policy, only to provide the service to you.
• Only import content you're allowed to use. Imported subtitles, documents and text are for your personal study, not for republishing.
• ProLangvo doesn't host films, series or books. Videos keep playing on the original service, under that service's own terms and your own subscription.
• If you believe content on ProLangvo infringes your rights, email info@prolangvo.ch and we'll look into it promptly.

Other services

ProLangvo isn't affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Netflix. Support depends on their services and on subtitles being available, and it can change or stop without notice if they change. Not every video or title works.

AI-generated content

Translations, meanings and Ask AI answers are generated automatically and can be wrong. Please don't rely on them for anything important.

Price

ProLangvo is free during the beta. If we add paid plans, we'll publish their price, cancellation and refund terms first, and you'll only pay if you choose a plan.

Ending your account

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing info@prolangvo.ch. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll give notice where that's reasonable.

Liability

We provide the free beta "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect loss, lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any right that the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

Changes

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using ProLangvo and delete your account.

Law and courts

Swiss law applies, and the courts of Lucerne have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the mandatory protections or the right to sue in the courts of the country where you live.
